I mentioned in a previous post that I had just started a new morning routine since moving to Atlanta. My day starts at 6:30 and my routine involves about 3-4 things to help set my day off right. The first step in my morning routine, and probably the most important step, is my morning gratitude. Every morning I wake up and immediately start writing down everything that I’m grateful for whether I see it happening in my life or if it’s still on my goal list. By writing down my gratitude I get excited to start my day because I know that there is so much to rise for. I also continue the pieces of my life that make me feel joyful and set in motion what I feel grateful to have happen in my life by envisioning it already happening. I always write down at least five things that I’m grateful for, which is sometimes easy to pass and sometimes hard to make it to. But there is always something to be grateful for, even if all I’m writing down that morning is that I’m grateful for breath, for rest, for the sun, to be alive, etc.
After my gratitude I’m ready to get up and be some sort of active. Waking up on the right side of the bed is necessary!
Enjoying my day,
